Hi! I’m Tami, nice to meet you.

My only job is to help Product Leaders be AWESOME!!!

After two decades working with tech companies around the globe to improve their product strategy and processes, I am now focused on helping Product Leaders perform at their best and get recognized for it.

I guide Product Leaders to leverage their established product skills to advance towards their goals. My clients earn the trust and confidence of their CEO, board, and peers and it pays off with impact, recognition, and often a promotion.

You’re more than a product manager and I’m more than a traditional executive coach…

I’ve been in your shoes as a SVP of Product and CPO myself and I understand the ultimate influence without authority which you face. I know you cannot turn to your boss for advice because that will negatively impact the trust and confidence you are building… and chances are they have no idea what it means to be a product leader. Though your challenges and opportunities are unique, I can provide insights into patterns I’ve seen and suggest actions YOU can take to reach your goals.

As a coach, I’m on the sidelines and have a view of the entire playing field. I recognize potential potholes and also opportunities to score big which you may not see because you’re focused on what’s right in front of you. My clients utilize me as a sounding board and consultant for their roadmaps, decks, org charts, communication strategies, and much more. My advice often focuses on how to use the product skills which got you to where you are now to overcome any issue. This not only builds the trust of their fellow leaders, but also confidence in their own abilities to tackle problems as they arise.

My best clients ALL have the same characteristics:

  • True GROWTH mindset and ambitious aspirations to be recognized for their badassery

  • Deep PRODUCT experience (generally in B2B SaaS) and strong management values

  • Great COMMUNICATION skills but are often better at editing other people’s work

As a former CPO in Residence and SVP of Product Strategy, I can also guide you on how to best:

  • Generate and deploy a strong Product Strategy for Growth

  • Design a Product Organization at Scale (Team Topology)

  • Set Objectives which Empower the Product teams

  • Position and present your ideas in ways that excite others

As a coach, my promise is that I will leave you with more answers than questions, but I will always ask:

  • Where do you want to go? (your vision, mission, goal, objective)

  • Where are you coming from? (details of your current state)

  • Where should you go next? (the plan which I’ll advise you on)

Hundreds of product leaders have benefited from my suggestions, will you?

EVERYTHING is a product, even YOU… and It’s all about your GOALS!

Over the last 15+ years of my career, I’ve come across just about every challenge a product person can face-- launching products, leading teams, optimizing processes, advising clients, and also managing my own career path. I’ve also had the unique opportunity through working at Pivotal Labs, Produx Labs (with Melissa Perri), and Insight Partners to coach product people at a myriad of technology companies and a many different career levels.

In that time I realized that product people--executives, leadership teams, and product managers-- are agile problem solvers focused on making things happen without losing sight of the long term goals. But when it comes to advancing their own careers, I noticed that these same people were often stuck in roles they’d long since outgrown and don’t know how to move forward.

As a coach, I guide product leaders to get out of their own way and leverage their existing product leadership skills to get the recognition they deserve. I encourage people to do that though thinking that Everything is a Product (read the full blog post here) so that they can use the product thinking they already have to solve current problems.

Coaching sessions often feel like product meetings: assessing capability gaps, planning customer research, and discussing what success looks like. Through our time together, you’ll start to apply the product mindset to more aspects of your role, and potentially even your personal life (ask me about Outcome-Oriented Parenting).
